🧭 PRESENTATION

Connect the Elements is an immersive Systema training course designed to break free from the traditional dojo setting and confront the practitioner with the reality on the ground, varied environments and its own internal states.

Over two additional days, participants will progress in several environments :
grass, forest, water, urban environment and dojo,
in order to develop a real, functional and conscious capacity for adaptation.

This training course is not an accumulation of techniques.
He is a connection experience.

Connection:

• to the body,
• to breathing,
• to space,
• to the environment,
• to fatigue, stress and the unexpected.

👉 Connect the Elements is a stage that is light in form, but demanding in substance.
It is based neither on deliberate exhaustion nor on brutality, but on the quality of presence, there accuracy of movement and the ability to remain consistent when the environment, fatigue, or discomfort appear.
The requirement stems from personal responsibility, attention to detail, and sincere commitment to the proposed work.

Systema is approached there as a living tool, capable of functioning regardless of the terrain, time of day, or physical or emotional state.

• Developing functional adaptability to different environments
• Maintain a stable and secure quality of movement above ground.
• Learning to manage stress, discomfort, and fatigue
• Exploring combat, mobility, and breathing outside the academic framework
• Strengthening mental presence, lucidity, and internal coherence

Work in natural environments, from day until dusk.

📍 Urban environment & Dojo

Application in a structured environment, then technical integration in the lab.

🔍 INTERNSHIP CONTENT

🌱 Module 1 – The Earth Element (grass & forest)

• Stability and rooting on uneven terrain
• Natural movements, falls and adapted getting up
• Strikes and mobility on unconventional terrain
• Managing balance, relaxation, and breath

🌊 Module 2 – The Water Element

• Working in and around water
• Managing breath, cold, and discomfort
• Active relaxation and body adaptation
• Maintaining calm in a challenging environment

🧠 Module 3 – Adaptation & fatigue (end of day)

• Work under progressive physical load
• Maintaining lucidity and presence
• Forced breathing
• Simplicity, economy of effort and efficiency in action

🏙️ Module 4 – Urban Environment

• Reading space and obstacles
• Managing distance, gaze, and stress
• Functional movement in a constrained environment
• Realistic scenarios and adaptation of Systema to the everyday setting

🏠 Module 5 – Dojo Integration

• Technical review of field experience
• Structural and mechanical adjustments
• Fine work with movement, contact, and breath
• Stabilization and integration of acquired skills

💡 INTERNSHIP PHILOSOPHY

No certificate is issued.
This internship is part of a process of human, martial, and experiential development.

The goal is to:

• refine perception,
• reduce unnecessary responses,
• develop a genuine capacity for adaptation,
• cultivate a stable, calm and conscious presence.

What is explored here is directly applicable in martial arts practice as in everyday life.

This internship requires:

• open-mindedness,

• ability to manage one's effort and limitations,
• Respect for the setting, for others and for the environment.

This is not a demonstration internship.
It's a real, immersive, demanding and profoundly educational work.

• Systema practitioners or new Systema practitioners
• Martial arts or combat sports practitioners
• People with engaging physical or mental experience
• Professionals or enthusiasts seeking a complex approach

👉 Prior experience is recommended.

🎒 REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

• Flashlight or headlamp
• Short stick (Kali)
• Training knife (no real weapon)
• Resistant civilian clothing (exterior)
• Shoes suitable for natural terrain
• Change of clothes and shoes
• Systema bathing towels, swim shorts, and T-shirts (no bikinis)
• Water, energy snacks

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

– T-shirt or long-sleeved T-shirt Systema black, grey or green or comfortable training shoes – training knife (if possible) (If you don't have a T-shirt, one will be sold to you at the entrance)

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:

This workshop is open to men and women of all levels, aged 18 and over. No specific martial arts experience is required, only a desire to discover Systema through immersion with an expert.
